About Zero B Water Purifiers
Zero B is the water purifier brand of Ion Exchange (India), a company with a long background in water treatment. The Zero B range includes RO, UV and non-electric purifiers, and we service each type with the right approach.
Zero B RO Services We Offer in Aizawl
Every visit starts with a proper check. Depending on the fault, the work can include:
- Leakage repair: replacing worn pipes, connectors and O-rings that cause leaks.
- Solenoid and float valve: fixing valves that let water run to drain continuously or do not stop when the tank is full.
- SMPS and adapter repair: a faulty SMPS is a common reason a purifier suddenly goes dead.
- Annual maintenance plans: scheduled service visits and filter changes through the year.
- RO installation and uninstallation: wall mounting, inlet connection, drain setup and TDS testing for new or shifted purifiers.
- Booster pump repair: repair or replacement of pumps that are noisy, weak or not starting.
- Filter replacement: we replace the sediment and carbon cartridges that protect the RO membrane.
- Storage tank cleaning: tank sanitisation during service so stored water stays fresh.
- UV lamp and UF membrane: replacement of UV lamps that have stopped glowing and UF membranes that have clogged.

How to Get the Best from Your Zero B RO
Our technicians suggest these easy steps:
- Keep the inlet valve and drain line free of kinks.
- Clean the storage tank during every service.
- Do not set output TDS too low; some minerals are good for taste and health.
- Replace the sediment filter every 6 to 12 months, or sooner if your water is muddy.
- Get the RO membrane checked once a year; it typically lasts 1 to 2 years depending on water quality.
- Use the purifier daily; water left standing for days in the tank is not ideal.

Common Zero B RO Problems We Fix
Each of these has a clear cause that our technicians can find:
- Water leaking from the unit: loose fittings, damaged pipes or a cracked filter housing.
- Noisy pump: a pump struggling against low inlet pressure or a failing motor.
- UV light not working: the UV indicator is off or blinking.
- Purifier not turning on: a failed SMPS, adapter or wiring fault.
- Low or no water output: the tank takes much longer to fill than it used to.
- High output TDS: the purified water tests higher than it should.
- Purifier not switching off: the pump keeps running and water flows to drain non-stop.
Water Quality in Aizawl and Your RO
In Aizawl, water can carry sediment, iron or turbidity, especially during the monsoon. The sediment filter takes most of this load, so keeping it fresh protects the rest of the purifier. We check the input water and set the TDS so essential minerals are not stripped away.
